Sticking with the multiverse motif for a moment, it seems that the Marvel bosses are going to attempt an even more ambitious and outrageous stunt than getting Nicolas Cage to fit into Superman's leggings.

It has been confirmed that Doctor Strange will return in 2022 with Doctor Strange: In The Multiverse Of Madness starring Benedict Cumberbatch as Dr. Steven Strange. Once again, the possibility of entering a multiverse opens an array of opportunities for different cinematic universes to combine much like the beloved Spiderman: Into The Spider-verse.

This film and MCU's Spider-Man three are rumoured to do something that writers Phil Lord and Rodney Rothman deemed "too confusing" for the fans and that is to reunite the three 21st century Spider-Men.
