10. Improvised Cushion - Fall
2022's Fall takes fear to new heights as friends Becky and Hunter decide to climb a 2000-foot radio tower. Naturally, things don't go according to plan and the pair are left stuck on top of the structure with the risk of dehydration or falling from a huge height.
The film has a mid-story twist where we find out that Hunter had died moments earlier and is just a hallucination of poor Becky. You see, the former tried to leap to safety in an earlier sequence where audiences were left to believe she made it. In reality, the daredevil missed her jump and died; her corpse rotting below our heroine.
Knowing that her cell phone will only send messages on the lower ground, Becky uses her friend's body and inserts her device inside. She then sends her SOS and throws the corpse off-screen in order to successfully send her text.
And wouldn't you know it, the film cuts to Becky's father as the authorities successfully bring the young girl down. It just happens that in order to do this, she had to use poor Hunter's body to protect her phone.
