10 Insane Rumours Fans Started About Movie Stars

5. Steven Yeun Played Short Round In Indiana Jones & The Temple Of Doom

This rumour truly is insane because, if you think about it for more than a few seconds, it really doesn't make any sense at all.

A few years ago, a meme went viral which claimed that The Walking Dead and Minari actor Steven Yeun played Indiana Jones' (Harrison Ford) child sidekick Short Round in Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom.

And because even a quick Google search is apparently hard work these days, fans didn't let a little objective truth get in the way of a fun bit of fake news.

Some basic number crunching reveals just how silly this is: The Temple of Doom was filmed in 1983, and given that Short Round is 11 years old in the film, that would mean Yeun was born in the early 1970s and would now be around 50 years of age.

Obviously nobody's genetics are good enough to get away with that - Yeun is actually just 37 years old and wasn't born until over three months after the movie wrapped.

Short Round was actually played by Jonathan Ke Quan, who at the time of press is indeed 50 years of old.
