3. Taskmaster Is Natasha's Clone - Black Widow

There are a ton of crazy-yet-plausible rumours surrounding the next MCU outing Black Widow, namely that Natasha (Scarlett Johansson) may pass the mantle onto Yelena Belova (Florence Pugh) at the end of the movie, but nothing quite matches this persistent rumour for sheer, glue-sniffing insanity.

The film's marketing has kept the face of the move-appropriating supervillain Taskmaster under wraps, with many believing their identity to belong to either Rachel Weisz's Melina Vostokoff or, perhaps more likely, O.T. Fagbenle's Rick Mason.

But it's possible we've been thrown off the scent entirely, and the answer is several levels more absurd, that Taskmaster is actually a clone of Black Widow herself.

It would explain why her movements mimic Natasha's so perfectly, and also why the character has clearly "borrowed" some skills from both Hawkeye (Jeremy Renner) and Captain America (Chris Evans).

Of course it'd incredibly difficult for audiences to take a clone plot seriously, but the MCU has gotten away with far sillier, and a clone could even potentially provide a solution to Natasha's death in Avengers: Endgame - though that's a whole other kettle of fish.
