10 Insanely Dark Joker Moments That'll Never Make It To Film

8. Killing Sarah Essen Gordon - No Man's Land

Whilst Batman is the one who is most famous for being tormented by The Joker, Jim Gordon has also been put through the wringer on many occasions. One such moment was during the 1999 No Man€™s Land arc. Gotham City was on its knees after being hit by an earthquake and its villains were running riot. After killing SWAT Lieutenant William Petit on Christmas Day, not to mention leaving Huntress in a bad way, The Joker went on to kidnap all of Gotham€™s babies. When poor Sarah Essen Gordon, Jim Gordon€™s second wife, happens upon The Joker€™s police station hideout, Mr. J shoots her in the head as she attempts to catch a baby that he dropped. It goes without saying, Jim Gordon was out for revenge, but Batman managed to talk him out of doing something he€™d regret. Either way, seeing Gordon€™s wife shot in the head whilst saving a baby? Yeah, that€™s something that€™s likely to never make it to the big screen.
