Often it seems impossible to imagine what life would be like if family weren't family, but friends instead. Here is a portrayal of an awkward situation many people deal with on a daily basis - but with a happy ending. While The Darjeeling Limited concerns a journey appropriate for a Wes Anderson film only (what other screen writer would create three estranged brother riding a weird train on a spontaneous visit to their strange mother?), the basic building blocks of the movie revolve around the three siblings who are all having a terrible time in life. Audiences should take home with them an aching stomach from all the laughs in the film, and a hope to create harmony amogst their own family in order to move past grudges.
I love Stephen King and music festivals; I eat my toast upside down; I daydream about getting married probably a bit too much; and I wish every day for a pet sausage dog puppy (who never materialises – sob).
