10 Insufferable Films That Must Be April Fool Jokes

10. The Wicker Man (2006)

Nicolas Cage has stated in interviews that he was €œin on the joke€ while remaking Robin Hardy€™s legendary 1973 movie, so let€™s assume that the ensuing picture was his penalty for failing to participate in a neck-nominate game. The Wicker Man doesn€™t have enough suspense, scares or credible characters to work as a straight thriller, but once viewed as a joke on the viewer, it becomes a riot. Look, there€™s Cage dropping the F-bomb in front of small children, stealing a teacher€™s bicycle at gunpoint and knocking out a woman while dressed as a bear €“ and he€™s in on the gag! Which is just as well, because any other movie where the main character concludes, after 75 minutes of weird dreams, cheap scares and near-fatal accidents, that €œsomething bad is about to happen€ would just look lame.
