10 Insufferable Rom-Com Leads That Don't Deserve Love

9. Mark - Love Actually

Love Actually Creepy
Universal Pictures

There are a lot of characters in Love Actually that are pretty terrible in their respective relationships, but Mark definitely claims the trophy of worst ever.

Crime #1: Ruins his best friend's wedding video by creepily focusing in on his new bride, constantly, with a plaintive longing that is inappropriate and just plain rude.

Crime #2: Rather than keeping his crush on his best friend's wife buried way down deep, he chooses to bring her into his drama, making things awkward forever.

What kind of monster behaves this way? Even if she likes you, SHE'S MARRIED TO YOUR BEST FRIEND. What do you expect to happen? How does this play out in your sociopathic mind? Because on Christmas, Mark shows up on her doorstep, demands that she lie to her husband, and proceeds to confess his undying love for her.

As though that's going to play out well. It's a selfish move, and the fact that the movie seems to want us to think that it's romantic is honestly pretty messed up.
