10 Intense Performances In Heart-Breaking Movie Scenes

8. Liam Neeson €“ Schindler€™s List

Liam Neeson has found mainstream popularity in contemporary cinema as an unconventional action hero with Taken and Non-Stop. At his best, he€™s one of the finest actors in the business, and he was criminally snubbed to win Best Actor for the modern classic Schindler€™s List in 1993. It€™s arguably Steven Spielberg€™s finest moment, at least on an artistic level, a film for which he accepted no payment for as he called it blood money. It€™s a film full of heart-breaking moments from beginning to end as it features gritty details of the daily lives and struggles of Jews in German work camps. It€™s almost like a documentary at times. Its emotional climax however is its high point, one where you already feel exhausted from the 3 hours previous but it makes you squeeze one more tear for a revealing moment with Schindler. Upon the end of War, Schindler must flee the sanctuary he€™s made for the Jews he saved. Although he was once greedy, he now evaluates the worth of valuable objects with how many lives he could have saved, regretting that he didn€™t save more. Neeson plays the scene with such unprecedented fragility that breaks the confident shackles of his character in a way that€™s unforgettable. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=49aQb7VZ6F8
