10 Most Interesting Marvel Villains (We Haven't Seen Onscreen Yet)

10. Baron Zemo

First, a point of clarity: there are two main Baron Zemos in the Marvel Universe: Heinrich Zemo, a Nazi supporter and enemy of Captain America during WWII. Since Marvel pretty much finished with period films after The First Avenger, it's unlikely we'll be seeing Heinrich any time soon (although the Agent Carter series could in all likelihood feature the Baron and there may well be flashback scenes in Age of Ultron). What's more likely is that we'll see his son, Baron Zemo Jr aka Helmut, who had a villainous career of his own before forming his own superhero team. Composed mainly of reformed supervillains trying to do good while still erring on the side of moral greyness, the Thunderbolts had their fair share of successes before being taken over by Norman Osborn and made to revert to their nefarious ways. What makes Zemo an interesting villain is his ambiguity, his legacy and the uncertainty that maybe he's just playing a long con with his allies, and he could certainly be put to good use in a future Captain America movie or an Agents of SHIELD arc.
