Clarence Boddicker is a nasty piece of work, and arguably the most evil person on this list, which makes him essential watching. He is a remorseless, self-serving thug who revels in the misery and suffering of others, and with the blessing of corrupt OCP (Omni Consumer Products) senior president Dick Jones, Boddicker is free to commence a reign of terror over Detroit and take control of its drug trade. We are introduced to Clarence as he's being pursued by officers Alex Murphy and Anne Lewis, thanks to the OCP takeover of the police force and its decision to send officers into more dangerous situations so that they can find 'candidates' for the Robocop programme. Boddicker's evil is cemented early when he and his gang destroy Murphy's body in a memorably bloody sequence. The sick glee Boddicker takes in brutalizing people makes him a very easy villain to hate, and the fantastic performance by Kirkwood Smith confirms him in the henchman hall of fame. In the end he meets his maker at the hands of Robocop's data needle, giving the audience exactly what they all wanted from the moment he appeared on screen. It takes a great villain to inspire so much hatred.
