10 Irresistible Quentin Tarantino Spin-Offs That Definitely Deserve To Be Made

1. The Wandering Jules

€œThe path of the righteous man is beset on all sides by the inequities of the selfish and the tyranny of evil men. Blessed is he who, in the name of charity and good will, shepherds the weak through the valley of darkness, for he is truly his brother's keeper and the finder of lost children. And I will strike down upon thee with great vengeance and furious anger those who would attempt to poison and destroy My brothers. And you will know My name is the Lord when I lay My vengeance upon thee.€

Who? Jules Winnfield, played by Samuel L. Jackson, is probably the most-quoted character from Pulp Fiction. And in a movie with so many quotable characters, that€™s really saying something. In the film, Jules goes through something of a spiritual awakening or a moment of clarity. When a scared man tries to shoot Jules and Vincent, the bullets miss and Jules feels like it was the result of divine intervention. By the end of the movie, he€™s decided to stop working for Marsellus and, as he says to Vincent, plans to €œwalk the earth.€ When Vincent presses him about this, Jules says he€™ll meet people and have adventures, €œlike Caine in Kung Fu.€ Every time I watch this scene, I scream at the TV, €œwhy have we not seen this movie yet?!€ Samuel L. Jackson headlining a movie directed by Tarantino inspired by the Kung Fu TV series starring David Carradine? I would pay a lot of good money to see that in the theater. Several times. And I€™d buy it the day it was released on Blu-ray. A movie like this could pick up after Jules has been wandering for several years. What€™s he been up to? What sort of problems does he get involved in? Maybe his past comes back to haunt him with Marsellus Wallace tracking him down for some reason? Likelihood? Tarantino and Jackson obviously still enjoy working together. Jackson played the antagonist in Jackie Brown, had cameos in Kill Bill and Inglourious Basterds, and also played a major antagonist in Django Unchained. And despite his age, we saw from The Avengers that Jackson can still play younger than he looks. But neither man has made any rumbles about the potential for this film. And that is disappointing. Well, hopefully Tarantino will make Killer Crow, and if so, there doesn€™t seem to be any reason why Jackson wouldn€™t be in it.
