10 Legacy Sequel Movies Everyone Actually Wants To See
9. King Conan
While certainly not the most popular IP on this list, there's still a lot of love for Arnold Schwarzenegger's Conan movies - 1982's Conan the Barbarian and its less-successful 1984 follow-up, Conan the Destroyer.
A third film, Conan the Conqueror, was originally planned for a 1987 release yet ultimately entered development hell amid contractual issues and Arnie's busy schedule.
In recent years there's been periodic talk of a belated threequel, bearing titles such as The Legend of Conan and King Conan, which would focus on an older Conan presiding over his kingdom.
It feels like a perfect fit for the legacy sequel format, honestly, allowing Arnie to revisit one of his most iconic roles while the heavy lifting action-wise can be done by a younger actor, presumably playing Conan's son who is training to take up his father's mantle.
Given how grizzled and badass Arnie looks in his mid-70s today, King Conan could serve as a fitting capper to his big-screen action movie career, providing him with a curtain call that circles back to one of his major breakthrough roles.
