5. A Phone Can Be Traced Without Sending A Text

Phone Ever wondered why people on the run always turn off their phone, remove the battery and snap the SIM card? Well in the Nolan Bat-verse you€™re probably wasting your time; apparently you need to be using your phone to send a text otherwise it can€™t be found. That€™s the logic that€™s at play at the beginning of The Dark Knight Rises, when Selina Kyle tricks Stryver into using the missing Congressman€™s (played by Chris Cooper lookalike Brett Cullen) phone, bringing all of the GCPD slamming down on that dive bar. Obviously that€™s not how technology works and while you can overlook things like Batman€™s sonar in The Dark Knight (because, say it with me, he's Batman), this apparent real life application feels false. I guess Selina Kyle could have turned the phone on moments before having it grabbed from her bag, but the clear implication is it was Stryver€™s text that set everything off. Given this scene kicks so much into motion (Gordon discovers Bane and Blake sees Selina Kyle) it€™s a shame it€™s all based off shaky tech logic. And while I'm on the topic of Blake seeing Selina Kyle...
