It should be clear for the filmmakers to make Lex the main antagonist for this new movie, as his wealth and position in society place him at great odds with Henry Cavill's Superman. In Superman: TAS, Lex is portrayed as a suave businessman who can put on a face for the public but is willing to get his hands dirty when needs be.
