10 Life Lessons You Should Learn From Minions

6. Spontaneity Is Important

If we learnt anything at all from the little creatures, it's that being spontaneous is key to having a good time. So what if punching your friend in the face immediately seems like a bad idea afterwards? You won't know until you've tried it. The minions are always ready to go at any given moment (yep, you remember that chaotic fireman hat scene in Gru's office, don't you?), and it's good to be prepared for disaster should it strike unexpectedly. The minions and their love for breaking into song is also part of their appeal. In both Despicable Me and Despicable Me 2 (and no doubt in the forthcoming Minions movie), the minions frequently break into song, especially with their standard big numbers at the end. The Y.M.C.A at the end of the sequel is one of their finest moments, and proves that song and dance is something to be enjoyed no matter what you are.

I love Stephen King and music festivals; I eat my toast upside down; I daydream about getting married probably a bit too much; and I wish every day for a pet sausage dog puppy (who never materialises – sob).
