9. Joseph Gordon-Levitt
Though Joseph Gordon-Levitt has indeed played villains before - as picture above, in
Killshot - it would be great if he could get a bad-guy role that really had some narrative meat on it, rather than the one he is probably best known for - playing the Cobra Commander in the execrable
G.I. Joe. Though his youthful face and slight frame might not make him the most imposing of villains, he could play a great weasel of a bad guy; a strung-out druggie or something like that. We can see from his recent roles in films like
Inception and
The Dark Knight Rises that he absolutely has the emotional intensity and physical prowess - despite his small stature - to deliver on a role like this, and it would be a nice change of pace, especially for those who still think of him as "that nice kid from
Third Rock from the Sun".
