10 A-List Actors Yet To Appear In A Comic Book Movie (And Who They Could Play)

1. Robert De Niro: J Jonah Jameson

Ever since The Amazing Spider-Man rendered Raimi€™s Spidey-verse obsolete, one question has burned in the minds of webheads: How could you possible follow J K Simmons near-faultless portrayal of the Daily Bugle€™s moustachioed mouth J Jonah Jameson? Marc Webb€™s answer so far has been to avoid the subject entirely by leaving this most integral character out of the proceedings. A better solution would be: Cast De Niro. One of New York€™s most famous sons, De Niro has all the attributes needed to play J Jonah, you just have to imagine him in Meet The Parents mode and you€™re a moustache and a flat-top away from having your angry editor. Having de Niro in the role isn€™t that much of a stretch considering some of the choices he has made in recent years and it can€™t hurt to involve an actor of his standing in a franchise that just can€™t seem to truly capture the public€™s imagination. Another comic book role De Niro would be a great choice for would be Wolverine in an adaptation of Old Man Logan but it€™s difficult to imagine Fox going that route when they can just as easily have a greyed up Jackman.
