10 Little Known Facts About Your Favourite Christmas Films

9. The Family Forget Kevin For So Long Because They Threw Away His Ticket - Home Alone

Although a major appeal of Home Alone is watching Joe Pesci try his hardest not to swear (he had to be repeatedly reminded on set this was a family film), for most people it's the adorable pre-pubescent Macaulay Culkin and an overall heart-warming story. It€™s a really tight film that still feels incredibly unique (please no one say sequel). One major criticism is how the Mccallister family go so long without realising they€™ve left little psycho Kevin behind - travelling is stressful, but not to a €˜I€™m going to forget nine months of pregnancy€™ level. Well now, thanks to an eagle eyed Reddit user, we have the reason why. When clearing up from dinner, the Dad accidentally throws away Kevin€™s ticket. That€™s why any head count after the first mix up didn€™t raise the alarm - the number of people matched the number of tickets - and why there wasn€™t a missing passenger at the airport. Seems Christopher Columbus snuck more in the film than we reckoned. I now can€™t wait to see what secrets are inevitably uncovered in Harry Potter And The Chamber Of Secrets ten years from now.
