10 Logical Questions That Completely Spoiled Good Films

3. If The Na'vi Can Recognize Humans In Avatar Form, Then What's The Point?

avatar2 If we look over the initial fact that this type of infiltration is entirely un-PC (it would essentially be like a European explorer walking into an African village with black face paint on), it seems utterly, entirely pointless. Zoe Saldana recognizes Worthington as a human the moment he steps foot in the camp. So what's the point? Is James Cameron really telling me that his characters can justify spending billions of dollars on this bio-modification cr*p, just so they can match the natives at eye-level? If so, then it leaves the basic premise of the story redundant, we could lose the middle 50% of the film, start with the human invasion of Pandora and then flow seamlessly into the Stephen Lang in a kick-ass robot, fighting the aliens. Moral messages removed, run-time slashed, happy days.
