DC saw Marvel's heart-warming reunion of Spider-Man's past and present, alongside the greatest hits of his cinematic rogues' gallery, and raised them a return THREE decades in the making.

With the DCEU set to take inspiration from the iconic Flashpoint comic book storyline, a number of famous faces from the current string of modern DC flicks and a few legends of the past look set to share the screen in 2022's The Flash.

And while everyone is excited to see the likes of Ben Affleck's grizzled Batman, and, of course, Ezra Miller's motormouth Flash stepping back into the DCEU spotlight, the buzz surrounding another returning DC icon is something else entirely.

Throwing on the cowl and cape for the first time since 1992's Batman Returns, Michael Keaton will be marauding into frame as The Bat once again in the time-travelling feature... and hopefully getting "nuts!" as Bruce Wayne at some point too.

The actor many regard as the greatest Caped Crusader committed to theatres revealed recently that he'd always thought, "I bet I could go back and nail that motherf***er." In just over a year's time, you wouldn't bet against him doing exactly that... because, you know, he's Batman.
