10 Longest Gaps Between Superhero Movie Appearances
6. William Ginter Riva/Peter Billingsley - Iron Man To Spider-Man: Far From Home (11 Years)
We're stepping into the big leagues now with our next entry; a character who first showed his face way back at the very start of this MCU adventure we're still all enjoying today.
As revealed during 2019's Spider-Man: Far From Home, not every one of Tony Stark's employees was fiercely loyal to the late Iron Man. In fact, a number of them had all conspired against his protege Peter Parker to successfully get their hands on Stark's E.D.I.T.H. glasses and the orbital weaponised drones that came along with them.
Yet, it's during the revealing of Quentin Beck's dastardly plan that a character next to nobody even remembered existed made an oddly satisfying return.
Tying together the first MCU flick, Iron Man, with Phase 3's last offering, scientist William Ginter Riva, who was memorably once verbally blasted by Jeff Bridges' Obadiah Stane for not being able to replicate Tony Stark's early work on the Iron Man suit, is revealed to be in on the plan, highlighting his 11 year mission to get back at the company that'd once belittled and under-appreciated his work.
This was simply another reminder that there's no such thing as an insignificant character in this grand universe.
