10 Longest Gaps Between Superhero Movie Appearances

4. Abomination/Tim Roth - The Incredible Hulk To Shang Chi (13 Years)

Marvel Studios' only real reference towards The Incredible Hulk in the wake of that lacklustre early Phase 1 flick came in the form of Thaddeus "Thunderbolt" Ross returning to the mix during and after Captain America: Civil War.

Yet, all that looks set to change with the unexpected re-emergence of a character last seen colliding with big green himself in that 2008 feature.

During a trailer for the incoming Shang Chi solo outing, what appeared to be Abomination could be seen squaring off with Wong in an arena of sorts. Kevin Feige was quick to confirm that this was indeed the case, though he didn't go as far as to state that Tim Roth was back in the role of Emil Blonsky.

That being said, the reports of Roth signing on to appear in the upcoming She-Hulk series all point to a long-awaited substantial return for one of the MCU's most under-appreciated villains.
