10 Ludicrous Action Scenes That Laugh In The Face Of Physics

6. Jason Bourne Surfs A Guy Down A Stairwell, Shoots A Guy Mid-Air - The Bourne Identity

The Bourne Identity Perhaps the only entry on this list I actively dislike, this scene from The Bourne Identity distracts from the film's otherwise firm level of heightened realism; sure, it features Jason Bourne (Matt Damon) driving a Mini Cooper down some extremely tight Parisian streets, but it's never meant to be more than a slight exaggeration of real life. This scene mid-way through the film, however, completely derails this, as Bourne decides to use a wounded enemy as a cushion to dive down a stairwell. Firstly, he dives on top of the guy, holding tight as he falls the 60 or 70 feet to the floor, and as he manages to somehow notice a guy pointing a gun at him on one of the stairways, uses a gun to shoot the guy dead in mid-freaking-air before safely returning to using the dead guy as a cushion and impacting upon him as they hit the ground. Crappy CGI certainly doesn't help this one either.
