5. John McClane Rides An F-35 Jet - Live Free Or Die Hard

I thoroughly enjoyed the fourth Die Hard movie against the odds, given the gap between the release of it and the third one, and well, because it had Len Wiseman at the helm instead of series veteran John McTiernan. That said, one of the film's key issues is in making John McClane (Bruce Willis) seem a little too badass for his own good, as he temporarily graduates to a near-Superman level of indestructibility, compared to the more pared-down believability of the first Die Hard film in particular. Here, McClane has his lorry ripped to shreds by the gunfire of an F-35 jet, so what does he do? Of course, he decides to leap onto said jet, ride around on the wing for a bit while the pilot bails out, before leaping from the jet onto a hunk of collapsed freeway, sliding to safety as the jet collides with the debris and explodes. It's suitably ridiculous, certainly entertaining, though also a bit much for a man not exactly known for his acrobatic skills...
