2. Xander Cage Survives An Avalanche That Kills Everyone Else - xXx
Ah yes, Vin Diesel appears
yet again, this time in the movie that helped make him a household name, the dubiously titled xXx (no doubt a smart name to distract anyone from trying to pirate it). Diesel plays Xander Cage, a thrill-seeking extreme sports obsessive who ends up being made by the government to infiltrate a gang of terrorists. The film hasn't really got anything resembling a brain, but it's good, silly fun, as evidenced by this utterly absurd scene in which Cage manages to escape death by using a snowboard to outrun an avalanche. When things get too tough, he ends up clinging to a metal pole, while the force of the avalanche apparently isn't enough to shake him free from the pole and bury him underneath a mound of snow, despite destroying everything else in its sight and killing all other humans in the scene.
