10 Major Comic Book Conflicts We Expect To See In Future Marvel Movies

4. Heroes Vs Heroes (Civil War)

Civil War was a spectacular 2006-2007 Marvel storyline which occurred following the implementation of the Superhuman Registration Act €“ a legislative bill which required any superhumans to register themselves as such (which would make sense in the Marvel Cinematic Universe when you think of the destruction caused by the heroes so far).

In the story, Captain America and Iron Man found themselves with very different opinions about the idea, with Iron Man, who had previously tried to halt the act, becoming the pro-registration figurehead and Captain America leading the anti-registration group.

Both heroes gained support from a legion of their fellow heroes and a brutal war ensued, with Captain America and Iron Man battling it out with each other in an iconic one-on-on fight at the end of it all.

There were far too many heroes involved in the story to include in a live action movie, but a scaled down version of the war with Captain America and Iron Man leading the two sides, or even just the two of them fighting each other over the matter, could work really well on the big screen.

There has, of course, already been more than a hint of disharmony between the live action versions of the two main characters in question, with Captain America telling Iron Man to €œput on the suit€ so the duo could €œgo a few rounds€ after they had a disagreement in the Avengers movie. If that was to actually happen it would send fans wild €“ and seeing it happen with each hero having their own team of supporting characters to make the battle bigger and better would be even cooler.

We could see the likes of Hulk, Thor, Ant-Man, Quicksilver, Scarlet Witch, Vision, Black Panther, Doctor Strange, Hawkeye and Black Widow fighting each other instead of a common foe. Imagine the awesomeness.
