10 Major Concerns About Upcoming Movies

4. The Original Cast (Probably) Only Have Cameos - Ghostbusters: Afterlife

Though it appears that the upcoming Ghostbusters: Afterlife is largely being mounted as an apology for 2016's ill-advised Ghostbusters reboot, little definitive is known about how the new sequel will reintroduce the series' original cast members.

It's confirmed that Bill Murray, Dan Aykroyd, Ernie Hudson, Sigourney Weaver, and Annie Potts will reprise their respective roles from the first two movies, though how long they'll each appear in the film is anyone's guess.

None of the legacy cast members have been featured in the movie's marketing, which only lends credence to the likelihood that Murray and co. don't show up until deep into the third act, to provide the new heroes with a helping hand.

Would it surprise anyone if they're in Afterlife for nothing more than a glorified cameo in the final 10 minutes, to provide a link between the new protagonists and their grandfather, Egon (the late Harold Ramis)?

If the film can stand on its own two feet regardless then all the better, but fans expecting substantial appearances from the original Ghostbusters will be left sorely disappointed if it's nothing more than a walk-on part amounting to mere minutes.

After more than 30 years since Ghostbusters II, fans deserve more than perfunctory revolving door cameos.
