9. The Dinosaurs Have Been "Tamed" - Jurassic World

Jurassic Park is undoubtedly one of the most iconic movies of all time, redefining the summer blockbuster just as Spielberg defined it way back in 1975 with the release of Jaws. Predictably the sequels failed to live up to the original, and by the time part 3 came around it was clear that it had become little more than a cash cow there for the studios to milk. Still, that was some time ago, and the dust has settled enough for us to look forward to the giant lizards making a welcome return to the screen. The fourth installment has been rumoured to be in development for some time but since its official announcement the excitement has started to heat up. Set on the same island as the original movie, this time around the theme park is well and truly established, with millions of visitors flocking to see the attractions every year. The big reveal - and one which could open up the action considerably - is the idea that the dinosaurs have been "tamed". Not only does this open up the possibility of humans and dinosaurs collaborating (we learned how to ride horses, why not velociraptors?) but also dino on dino fight scenes? Going even further, DNA splicing has also been rumoured, leading to strange hybrid dinosaurs unlike anything we've ever seen. The possibilities for awesome action sequences - or just plain ridiculousness - are seemingly endless.
