5. Flashpoint Is Coming To The DCEU
Over the past couple of years, there have been conflicting reports about whether The Flash movie will be a big screen adaptation of Flashpoint. Well, it was recently confirmed that new director Andy Muschietti is indeed planning to use that title, but that he intends to deliver a new take on the storyline.
What that means remains to be seen. Chances are Warner Bros. will use the time-travelling adventure to reset the DC Extended Universe and explain the absence of characters like Batman and Superman, but there's one very exciting rumour, in particular, which has been doing the rounds on Reddit recently.
Apparently, Warner Bros. hopes to find an actress to play Reverse-Flash despite the fact that he's typically portrayed as a man in the comic books. That should certainly go some way in making him the "reverse" of Ezra Miller's Barry Allen, and one name that's frequently been thrown around is Jessica Chastain.
