There's been talk for a while now that Marvel Studios may have quietly regained the distribution rights for The Hulk and Namor the Submariner, and rumours persist that the latter is set to finally make his Marvel Cinematic Universe debut in Phase 4. ComicBookMovie.com, however, has done some digging and potentially found evidence that he'll show up in Eternals this November.

Syrian actor Zein Al Rafih (who starred in the Oscar-nominated Lebanese film Capernaum) recently told a fan on Instagram that he plays "a kid whose father gets killed by sea monsters" in the movie and that sounds an awful lot like what happened to Namor during his youth.

In the comics, Atlantis and Lemuria existed thousands of years ago and the Eternals' villains - the Deviants - ruled over the latter, while humans were in charge of the soon to be undersea nation. The Phase 4 release promises to delve into six thousand years of the MCU's history so, if nothing else, the concept of Atlantis existing in this shared world will likely be explored here and that opens the door to Namor finally appearing on the big screen.
