5. Shang-Chi Will Feature Some Major Spy Connections
Shang-Chi and the Legends of the Ten Rings will finally introduce the real Mandarin and while Iron Man is no longer around to square off with his arch nemesis, other heroes are going to step up to face this powerful and mysterious bad guy. Now, Murphy's Multiverse has revealed that joining Shang-Chi in that fight will be MI-6 agents Leiko Wu, Clive Reston, and Black Jack Tarr.
Those names likely won't be familiar to even the most hardcore comic book fans but they've all played pivotal roles in Shang-Chi's adventures over the years. In the source material, Shang-Chi turns his back on his father - believed to be the Mandarin in the Marvel Cinematic Universe - and ends up working with MI-6 and eventually embarks on a romantic relationship with Leiko Wu.
In this movie, we'll pick up with the Master of Kung Fu after he's left the spy organisation and the site claims that his old partner and friend Clive Reston is now married to Leiko Wu (who once had strong feelings for Shang-Chi). As for Jack Tarr, he's described as an "elite martial artist who enjoys the thrill of the battle" and Marvel Studios is looking for a Caucasian male between 45 - 50 for Reston, a Chinese female between 26 - 39 for Wu, and a Caucasian male between 30 - 49 for Tarr.
