9. Rey Becoming A Better Dark Side Candidate Than Kylo Ren
Just look at how quickly Rey ramped into being able to command the Force. Going from no idea of the Force to using Jedi mind tricks and telekinesis is no small feat. Shes even a badass with a lightsaber when she goes head-to-head with Kylo Ren. In fact its during this fight that Rey dips into using her anger, much like how Luke does when fighting Darth Vader in Return Of The Jedi. Does this aggression signal a chance to be seduced by the dark side? Rey is undoubtedly a kind-natured person, but her feelings may get the best of her if she doesnt learn to control them. This is especially true if shes rushed too quickly into battle before completing her training with Luke. Supreme Leader Snoke would certainly make his move to take Rey as his apprentice if she was emotionally vulnerable. If its anything weve learned about Snoke, its that he lusts for new power and aims to preserve the power hes gained. If Kylo Ren isnt strong enough for the job he requires, then perhaps Rey would make a better candidate. And bear in mind that Ren has already failed his master; allowing the map to Luke to slip away and by letting Rey escape. Such mistakes can only go so far before they outweigh his usefulness. Snoke vying for control of Rey would be a huge plot point that could drive the story. Perhaps all of Lukes training would once again blow up in his face, as it does when Ben Solo betrays him. Maybe Kylo Ren fears that Snoke has lost interest in him, so he tries even harder to regain his favor. No matter what, trouble is bound to happen if Snoke sets his eyes on Rey.
