10 Major Predictions For The Fantastic Beasts Sequels
7. Credence Is Still Alive (And He's Going To Be More Conflicted Than Ever)
Ezra Miller's Credence Barebone is one of the most sympathetic yet threatening characters in the entire film, a shy, awkward yet deeply emotional person who turns out to be the person housing the Obscurus.
In the end, it appears as if Credence is killed by the members of the Department of Magical Law Enforcement, putting an end to his character's tale. But watch closely, and you can see a slither of the Obscurus slip away through a crack in the ceiling.
It's clear that Credence, then, will return. When he does, he'll be even more conflicted than before . The love and affection shown to him by Tina will have warmed him to her and Newt, yet he'll seek revenge against Grindelwald when he learns the true identity of Graves.
It'd be interesting to see Credence take on the role of the anti-hero, whose allegiance is never concrete until the character finds emotional reconciliation.
