10 Major Problems With Zack Snyder’s Justice League
9. Cyborg Is Insanely Overpowered
To most viewers it would seem that Cyborg benefited immensely from the Snyder Cut. He got a lot more screen time that focused on his relationship with his father and how he was dealing with his powers. But on closer examination, what seems to be a step in the right direction only creates more problems for the character and his involvement in the film's story.
In a tape recording provided by his father Silas, we learn that Cyborg is connected to all machinery all over the world and that it will all bend without effort to his will. This raises insane ethical and moral questions about his powers, but the film never explores this problem. It should also be concerning that a confused and angry teenager who hates what he has become has access to this power at all times.
But what is more bizarre than Cyborg’s incredible powers is how little he makes use of them. In the final battle, he focuses on plugging into the Mother Boxes instead of using his powers to aid the team against Steppenwolf, like calling in a missle strike or signalling to the military that they could use some support.
