It's been four years since we had a new Gore Verbinski movie - nothing since The Lone Ranger proved to be a big flop - but he's back this year, with new film A Cure For Wellness getting a rather intriguing Super Bowl spot.

Dale DeHaan plays an employee sent to a wellness centre, with the intention of rescuing his company's CEO. However, as he gets there and stars to unravel its secrets, his own sanity starts to be questioned.

It's still too early to say this will be a success for Verbinski (he's a very hit/miss director, but when he hits it's usually very good; see: Rango, the first Pirates movie), but the trailer certainly sells his return well.

Building on the first trailer, there are two TV spots here - one more straightforward, the other - better - one playing as a commercial, but both are very weird, trippy, and creepy, and definitely give off a Shutter Island vibe. It also becomes clearer, especially from the 'commercial' trailer, that the cure is what makes everyone there go insane, and we get to see the centre being burned down as well.
