9. Johnny Blaze/Ghost Rider
Johnny Blaze is the spirit of vengeance, Ghost Rider, a stunt cyclist who sells his soul to Satan to save his friend's life. But, as the two Nic Cage movies proved, audiences need a bit more than a flaming skull on wheels to hold their attention. Other superheroes for example, like Ant-Man to interact with. Having re-acquired the movie rights to the character last year, Marvel Studios could be gearing up a new Ghost Rider movie sans Cage, with Patrick Wilson in the driving seat. Marvel announced several TV series for characters like Iron Fist, Luke Cage and Daredevil late last year (the latter being another character they recently re-acquired), but Ghost Rider a character with name and brand recognition was left off the TV series roster. Why? Maybe because Marvel Studios have ideas about more Ghost Rider movies, this time tied into their movie universe. And, with a new Ghost Rider comic series launching this month, Marvel could be laying the groundwork for potential movie storylines to work on.
