10 Marvel Characters That Should Be Made Female In The Movies

10. Red Skull

Hugo Weaving has made it clear that the only way he will reprise the role of the Red Skull in a future Captain America movie is if he's forced to (his Captain America: The First Avenger contract had a sequel option). That's unfortunate, especially as his apparent demise has led to so many different fan theories. Marvel could just recast or have the Skull possess someone else's body as he has so many times in the comics, but there's a better option. With Joe and Anthony Russo taking so much inspiration and characters from Ed Brubaker's Captain America run, you have to believe that Sin's name has come up a few times. She's the daughter of the Red Skull, and a deranged killer who shacks up with Crossbones (Frank Grillo). Eventually though, she's horribly scarred during a battle with The Avengers, and ends up becoming the new Red Skull as a result. Marvel could afford to just pick and choose elements from that to create a new iconic villain for the Marvel Cinematic Universe, in the process finding a great actress to bring this Red Skull to life on the big screen.
