10 Marvel Cinematic Universe Easter Eggs That Led Nowhere

The Ten Rings organisation that gave Tony Stark so many problems way back in the original Iron Man could still be at large in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, and the evidence supporting that stretches beyond Mandarin-themed teasers.

A deleted scene that turned up on the Ant-Man Blu-ray gave fans a closer look inside the villainous Darren Cross's lab, a sequence in which he shows off his shrinking technology to potential buyers.

One of those punters can clearly be seen sporting a strange neck tattoo which resembles the Olympic Rings. The symbol it depicts, however, has nothing to do with sports. From the look of things, it's the Ten Rings' insignia.

Although it's unfair to have a go at Marvel for failing to deliver on an Easter egg that ended up on the cutting room floor, it's clear there were plans to tease the terrorist organisation in Ant-Man at one point, which begs the question of whether they're destined to show up in a future MCU phase.
