10 Marvel Cinematic Universe Villains Who Need To Make A Comeback

6. A.I.M.

Appeared In: Iron Man 3. When it comes to evil organizations in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, HYDRA takes the cake, with their influence reaching out through the Captain America films, the Avengers films, Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., and beyond. The Ten Rings have also played a part - albeit a much smaller one - but the one organization that's really drawn the short stick is A.I.M. In the comics, A.I.M. has been around for decades, having started off as a branch of HYDRA before evolving into an entity all its own, notably spawning the villainous MODOK in the process. In contrast, the MCU's interpretation of A.I.M. positioned the organization as the brainchild of Aldrich Killian, one half of the duo responsible for creating Extremis. Though Extremis figured into Centipede's machinations in the early episodes of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., A.I.M. itself seemingly disappeared in the wake of Killian's death. While it may be considered cheating including the organization as a character on this list, A.I.M. deserves to be revitalized under someone else's guidance, whether it's on Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. or in future films, particularly if its reemergence can be used to bring MODOK to the MCU in some form.
