8. Ego's Celestial Line - Guardians Of The Galaxy 2
For folks who don’t know what a Celestial is, hearing Ego casually call himself one is the excitement equivalent of ordering a plain cheese sandwich. For anyone even vaguely aware of Celestials, however, the excitement level suddenly gets a large serving of hot sauce dumped on it.
While Peter does lose his powers after his father dies, it doesn’t change the fact he’s still Ego’s son – and therefore still part Celestial. We’ve also seen glimpses here and there of Celestials – enough that we know there are others who are still hanging around the universe.
All this in mind, Missouri’s own Star-Lord seems like the logical bridge between the MCU and the potential introduction of the rest of the Celestials – which would be a nice silver lining to having such a terrible dad.
