10 Marvel Movie Scenes That Mean More Than You Think

3. The End-Credits - Ant-Man And The Wasp

Taking place after Infinity War was something of a risky move for Ant-Man and The Wasp – as it placed pressure on the film to contain something related to the prior film, without it requiring you to have seen Infinity War to understand.

This is what makes the end-credits scene of the film so smart. Having the Pym family wiped out by the Gauntlet, with Lang stuck in the quantum realm is not only a great cliffhanger, but also has the potential to lead into the stories of some other Ant-Man comics quite nicely.

The most closely related of these is actually the most recent Ant-Man and The Wasp comic, which involves the two characters being stuck in the microverse with a selection of tiny alternate dimension creatures. The MCU isn’t following the comics too heavily as of late, but it still seems fairly likely that this ending is a set up to some similar microverse shenanigans.

I like my comics like I like my coffee - in huge, unquestionably unhealthy doses.
