Yes, Blade: Trinity was awful, but its time to give Wesley Snipes another shot as Blade. As long as he can find a happy working relationship with whatever team Marvel chose to put around him, theres no reason a film about a half-human/half-vampire hybrid protecting mankind from bloodsucking threats couldnt work within the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Indeed, the MCU already has superheroes, extra-terrestrials and the quantum realm. Its already a weird place, and its only going to get stranger with the introduction of Benedict Cumberbatchs Doctor Strange in 2016. Surely theres room to squeeze vampires into this ever-expanding universe, too? Wesley Snipes certainly thinks so. Hes recently said that conversations have been good between his people and Marvels people. They see the value in it. We see the value in it Im still in shape enough and fit enough to handle the role. This one could either be a Netflix series or a film relaunch, with the former seeming more likely than the latter.
