2. Annihilus

Dr Doom MCU
Marvel Comics

Annihilus is another high-level threat to the Marvel Universe who would make for a perfect addition to the MCU. He's primarily been an enemy of the Fantastic Four, but he hasn't limited himself to dealing with just those four heroes. Over the years, he's threatened everything, everywhere.

Annihilus is the ruler of the Negative Zone, and he controls everyone within that realm via a Cosmic Control Rod. The biggest storyline to feature him came in 2004 with "Annihilation," which kicked off after the planet Xandar was destroyed, and that happened (off-screen) in Avengers: Infinity War. That event also gave rise to Richard Rider's ascension as Nova, which is another character likely to show up in the MCU.

In the "Annihilation" storyline, Annihilus commanded a massive fleet from the Negative Zone into the Marvel Universe, and in doing so, he subjugated/destroyed a plethora of planets. Much like Thanos, stopping him required the combined might of most of the universe's heroes.

The Guardians of the Galaxy, Silver Surfer, Fantastic Four, Nova, and many more heroes went up against the so-called "Annihilation Wave," making Annihilus precisely the kind of villain the Avengers would need to assemble against in a forthcoming MCU movie.
