9. White Rabbit
A sheltered wealthy girl who is well-educated and obsessed with Lewis Carroll's works, Lorina Dodson uses her money to find excitement in an (often failed) life of crime. Aside from martial arts training and a handful of silly props like razor-tipped carrots, the White Rabbit isn't much of a threat at first glance.
She's playing dress-up, and though she has some success, her largest scores usually come from robbing fast food joints or selling drugs to socialites. White Rabbit is ready-made for a movie depicting what happens when a smart yet delusional person gets in over their head with murder would be quite exciting.
Mix Spring Breakers with The Bling Ring and give it a dash of a classic robbery-gone-wrong plot involving an accidental murder. Add in her obsession with Alice in Wonderland and the film can easily wander down the rabbit hole in ways that subvert traditional genre expectations.
