10 Massive Movie Predictions For The Rest Of 2016

9. Assassin's Creed (Barely) Becomes The Best-Reviewed Video Game Movie

It's fair to say that video game movies have set an incredibly low bar of quality as far as critical reception is concerned, and after Warcraft spectacularly bombed with critics this year, all hope has fallen to Assassin's Creed to finally deliver an adaptation both faithful and entertaining.

Though it would be a surprise if the movie scored anything above mixed reviews given the medium's track record, it seems likely that the dream team of director Justin Kurzel and lead Michael Fassbender can probably push the film past the current video game movie champ, Final Fantasy: The Spirits Within, which holds 44% on Rotten Tomatoes.

Creed can probably creep up to around the 50% mark at least, and anything else would just be icing on the cake, to be honest. If Assassin's Creed isn't the best-reviewed video game of all time after release, something has gone horribly wrong.
