10 Massive Movie Twists That Were Secretly Obvious

2. The Film Only Shows You Half The Story - The Sixth Sense

Here'€™s another film that is completely different on second viewing €“- The Sixth Sense. Bruce Willis€™' child psychologist character Malcolm is a ghost throughout 99% of the movie, as you probably already know, and it'€™s ruddy obvious when you go looking for clues.

The biggest signpost here is that no other characters really talk to Malcolm, except for Cole (Haley Joel Osment),€“ the kid who sees dead people; although Malcolm sits in rooms with other characters all the time, and conversations are constantly going on, no one ever actually reacts to his dialogue. On top of this, Malcolm rarely touches anything or moves any objects when Cole isn'€™t around.

This one seems so obvious with hindsight, but was impossible to spot for a lot of people on first viewing. The wool is pulled over our eyes, mainly because we just assume that Malcolm is still continuing in his career as a psychologist, rather than accepting that dead people €œonly see what they want to see€ and €œdon'€™t know they'€™re dead.
