7. Pirates Of The Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales
Another series that has outstayed its welcome, the first Pirates of the Caribbean movie set the screen alight with a vintage family-adventure movie along with an instantly iconic performance from Johnny Depp. Since then Depp's Jack Sparrow has been forced into the leading role and continues with the same, tedious shtick as the quality dwindles with each forced instalment.
The initial trailer looks like more of the same with regards to the spooky visuals and ghouls out for revenge, presumably with Depp prancing around providing the eye-rolling comic relief caricature in the guise of a protagonist.
Much like the films themselves, bad omens have haunted production since it began all the way back in 2011 and the path has been paved with script disputes and budget related delays. Not a definite death sentence of course though these behind the scenes issues are always cause for concern.
Each new movie seems to get worse and worse so perhaps it's time to put the Pirates of the Caribbean franchise in a watery grave.
