The Role He Almost Had...

Back before his good buddy Ben Affleck picked up the plum role of Matt Murdock in Daredevil and almost ruined his career in the process, Matt Damon was heavily linked with the role. Damon revealed to the Daily News that he and Affleck dreamt of playing Daredevil as kids, but Damon admits himself that he "chickened out":

"...because I couldn’t tell. I hadn’t seen the director (Mark Steven Johnson’s) work and I didn’t know. So I just said, ‘no,’ Ben was like, ‘I ‘gotta do it.'”

Instead, we got Matt Damon in one of the best ever cameos in a Marvel movie, thanks to his turn as the Asgardian actor playing Loki in the fake Odin's celebration of himself in Thor: Ragnarok. Still, if he'd made Daredevil better, we'd probably all have willingly sacrificed his later cameo.
