10 MCU Characters Killed Off Way Too Early

Played by Cate Blanchett, Hela, the Goddess of Death, is freed after the death of her father, Odin, and immediately takes over Asgard with an iron-fisted rule.

When Thor finds his way back to Asgard, he and Loki realise that the only way to stop her is by resurrecting the demon Surtur and bringing about Ragnarok, the end of the world. Though Hela tries to fight off the beast, she ends up right in the path of Surtur's sword, and is seemingly obliterated along with the whole of Asgard.

"Seemingly" is the operative word here, for there is one thing that just doesn't add up. Hela is said to draw her power from Asgard, meaning that, if she is strong enough to smash Mjolnir with her bare hands on Earth, then what is she capable of at the epicentre of her power? Not only that, but the aura surrounding her as she 'dies' looks suspiciously like an effort to teleport away.

Whichever way you look at it, Hela was far too important of a character to have gone so quickly.
